Adult Services

Adult services... On September 23,2009 we will be starting the Let's Talk About It program. We have teamed up with the Soroptimists International of Minico to bring you

                    Our Earth, Our Ethnics.

Sept. 23 Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey - a season in the wilderness of Moab, Utah.

Oct. 7 Indian Creek Chronicles by Pete Fromm - an account of seven winter months spent alone in a tent in Idaho guarding salmon eggs at a remote hatchery.

Oct. 21 Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver - an adventure weaving together three stories about a corner of Appalachia called Zebulon Mountain.

Nov. 4 The Solace of Open Spaces by Gretel Ehrlich - "Everything in nature invites us constantly to be what we are. We are often like rivers: careless and forceful, timid and dangerous, lucid and muddied, eddying, gleaming, still."

Nov. 18 Who Owns the West by William Kittredge - The once-remote interior of the American West is changing, filling with tourists and new settlers, yielding "a time of profound transition, which can be thought of as a second colonization."

Program is held Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.   We hope you will be able to join us for some interesting reading and adult company!  Great discussions, too. Please contact the library if you would like to be included (436-3874) or just come in and ask for the current book. Hope to see you at the library!
