History
The Friends of the Library is a non-profit volunteer group organized April 2002 to help the DeMary Memorial Library. Friends recruit volunteers and raise funds for services and improvements that the library budget does not provide.
Mission Statement
We believe libraries are a great source of information for people of all ages. We believe using the Library should be a pleasurable experience and want to encourage the community to use the Library by creating additional reading programs, improving the appearance and encouraging continued growth.
YOU can help the Library by donating your Ridley’s Advantage Card Points to the Friends of the Library. It’s easy and doesn’t cost you anything.
Every time you shop at Ridley’s you are given points. You can donate these points to the Friends of the Library by signing up at the Library.
Ridley’s converts the points into a cash donation which they send to participating non-profit organizations such of the Friends of the Library.
We use the money to help the Library with things that are not in their budget. Past projects have been audio books, shelving units, lighting, landscaping, exterior signs, and new chairs for the computers.
A suggestion box is available for your ideas about whatever you think the Library needs or improvements you would like to see done.
Thank you for your patronage.
